West Coast Trail

  As you can see from the accompanying photo, the West Coast Trail on the west side of Canada's Vancouver Island is serious stuff. Before you start out on the 47-mile trail you get a 75-minute safety orientation from a Pacific Rim National Park officer. When our group of three Durangoans began the trail June 5 there had been 13 medical evacuations to date in 2010. Would we add to this total?
